Though it
would never occur to most gardeners to write a poem or paint
a picture, the living garden, as an art form is
paradoxically the most complex of all. From 1930, until her
death in 1979, Peggy Mills chose as her lifework that very
manner of expression. Through her sense of aesthetics and
skill combined with research and determination she has left
a legacy that has captured the attention of botanists
worldwide. The home and gardens, once tended by Mrs. Mills
as a labor of love, can still be experienced in the serenity
and privacy of small luxury hotel. |
